Our boy Hayden really shined at
the Bel Alton, MD shows held the weekend before Independence Day 2006.
He went Best of Breed both Saturday, July 1 and Sunday, July 2. The
July 1 show was sponsored by the Southern Maryland Kennel Club and Judge
June Penta gave him the Breed. Sunday's show was sponsored by the Rock
Creek Kennel Club and this time Breeder Judge Bonnie Threlfall awarded him
the Breed. We definitely had cause to celebrate this 4th of July!!!!!

Hayden continued to shine at the
Foothills Dog Show Circuit in Greenville, SC. On Friday, February 18,
2005, at the English Cocker Spaniel Sweepstakes-Spartanburg Kennel Club
show, he was first in the 6-9 Months Puppy Dog class. Our thanks to
Judge Robert Sutter. Then, on Saturday, February 19, at the
Hendersonville Kennel Club show, Judge Terri Burrows wowed us by giving
Hayden Reserve Winners dog (to a 5-point major!!), Best Puppy, and a Group 1
in the Puppy Group!!!! Keep your eyes on this blue roan & tan boy as
he continues to hit the ring.

What a weekend!!! Hayden
continues to show consistently well in the ring. On April 9, 2005, at
the Greater Fredericksburg Kennel Club show in Fredericksburg, VA under
Judge Mrs. Robert Smith, Hayden went Winners Dog>Best of Winners>Best of
Opposite Sex for one point. The next day at the Chesapeake
Kennel Club of Maryland show in Prince Frederick, MD, this time with Mr.
Robert Smith judging, Hayden went Winners Dog>Best of Winners>Best of
Opposite Sex for one point AND Best of Breed Puppy/Sporting Puppy
Group 2!!!!! We are just so proud of this little boy. The wins
this weekend make Hayden's point total four.

We are so proud of Hayden.
At the three-day 2005 Cherry Blossom Cluster shows in Timonium, MD, Hayden
went Winners Dog on Sunday, April 24, for a three-point major.

Hayden continues to prove to
be what I expected--a winner!!! Hayden showed so consistently at the
2005 Chesapeake VA Dog Fanciers Association shows that each day was almost a
carbon copy of the other. On Saturday, April 30, Judge Ms. Marjorie Martorella gave Hayden Winners Dog/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex/Best
of Breed Puppy/Sporting Puppy Group 4. On Sunday, May 1, showing to
Judge Mrs. Judy A. Doniere, Hayden went Winners Dog/Best of Winners/Best of
Opposite Sex/Best of Breed Puppy/Sporting Puppy Group 3. Picking up a
point each day, Hayden's point total is now nine, including one major.
I'm so happy that Deb Decker let Hayden come to live at Winfree.
Thanks, Deb. And thanks to the judges. |

The 2005 ECSCA National was
very exciting for us this year. Held in Sturbridge, MA, Hayden went
Second in the 9-12 Months Puppy Dog Sweepstakes Class and Second in the 9-12
Months Puppy Dog Regular Class. Very impressive considering there were a
total of 20 dogs in each of the two classes. Judge for the Sweepstakes
was Mrs. Lynda Gall and judge for the Regular class was Mrs. Eileen Weston.
Hooray, Hayden!!! |

Hayden pulled off
a triple play at the 2005 Virginia Memorial Day Circuit shows in historical
Williamsburg (May 28-30). Less than two weeks after his awesome
placement at the National (see above), Hayden was Winners Dog>Best of
Winners each day, picking up a total of three points. The
judges were: Gloucester Kennel Club show: Mrs. Elaine Mathis;
Tidewater Kennel Club show: Mrs. Betsy Yates; and Virginia Beach Kennel Club
show: Mr. Don Evans. Hayden now has a total of twelve points,
including one major. Not yet one year old and getting his first
point in March 2005, in just a few months, Hayden has certainly proven that
he can handle himself in the ring. Go, Hayden!!!!! |

On August 12,
2005, first day of The Keystone Cluster shows in Harrisburg, PA, Hayden went
Winners Dog>Best of Winners for 2 points. Judging today was Manuelo
Queijeiro. Hayden's point total now stands at 14, including one
major. Our thanks to the judge and to the host club, Penn Ridge
Kennel Club. Hoorah!!!!! |

We have a new
champion at Winfree!!!!! Hayden went Winners Dog>Best of Winners in the 12-18 Month
Class for a 5-point major at the English Cocker Spaniel Club of
Northern California Specialty Show in Pleasanton. Judging at the
October 21, 2005 show was Mrs. Terri Lynn Burrows. It's always cause
for celebration when we herald in another champion at Winfree. Our
thanks to co-owner, Deb Decker, for allowing Hayden to live here. We
are looking forward to adding him to our breeding program.
