Dear Lisa, Darcy is settling in really well. She and Cal (Callahan) are now great little friends. Cal wasn't too thrilled at first... I think that it was because Mom and Dad came home from a trip with a new dog that wasn't even really all that interested in playing with him. Having totally gotten over the fear thing, Darcy routinely chases Cal around the house/yard. Her favorite thing is to latch onto his ears and give them that little 'death-shake'. She's already mastered the art of opening the dog door and is beginning to understand that trips outside result in a treat, so we're already making strides with housebreaking. Darcy is much more cuddly than Cal ever was and it's really interesting to see that her personality is very different from his while they have so many traits in common. I think that they are going to be really good together; they're already pretty outstanding!! Phil Barnhardt and Jess Towle |
