After this show, YoYo was put on hold. Her next
outing landed her a five-point major the day after the National Specialty in
Maryland. What a way to come back out!! YoYo was put on hold again
when I gave birth to my son, Dalton, and again two years later with my daughter,
Taylor. YoYo started to be shown again in February 1998, in search of her last major!
On June 12, 1999, YOYO FINISHED HER CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!!!!, one month shy of her
tenth birthday. Tommy Dowell showed her for me, as I had just started my
Ashbrook Copy Cat ("Tracy") puppy (who, by the way, went reserve to the major!).
YoYo had two litters. The first
litter by C-section were all dead, and the second litter, two puppies, died at
two weeks of age. What a heartbreak--such a beautiful bitch and no puppies
to carry on.
YoYo was spayed after her championship
papers arrived. She then enjoyed showing at specialties and in the veteran's
class. YoYo was Best Veteran in Sweepstakes at the 2000 ECSCA Regional IV
held in South Carolina (February 19, 2000) under Judge Mrs. Jill Lindheim. YoYo may
have been one of the oldest English
Cockers to finish her championship, if not the oldest bitch!!
